  • Why choose Steve Collins Personal Training?
    Steve is well known as a professional, friendly and focused personal trainer in the Harrogate area. His extensive knowledge built up through the years, plus personal experiences provide the perfect platform as a personal trainer. Excellent knowledge in all aspects of fitness allow him to give expert insight and advice through every step of your journey.   • How much are Personal Training sessions?
    Single Session - £45 Block of 10 - £400 (save £50!) Group Personal Training (Single Session) - £25 per person Group Personal Training Session (Block Bookings) - Available upon request For information about what Personal Training entails click here.
  • Where are you located?
    I operate all of my sessions from a friendly and vibrant gym in Harrogate. The address is: Beckwith Health Club, Central House, Otley Road, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG3 1UF.
  • What does a typical session entail?

  • Can I request a specific time slot?
    I will always try my best to give you the time slot that you require. Although please understand that mornings and evenings are my busiest time, as clients like to train before and after work. For this reason, I may not be able to accommodate all morning/evening requests. But please don't let this put you off contacting me - I'll strive to provide you with a time that works. I may have some of the more popular slots available, so get in touch!
  • Do you offer weekend sessions?
    Unfortunately not, sessions are only available between Monday to Friday.
  • What methods of payment do you accept?
    I welcome card, cash, cheque or bank transfer. * Please note: All sessions must be paid for in advance.
  • Do I need to be a member of the gym to have sessions?
    No, you do not need to be a gym member to have personal training sessions. Although, without membership, you will not have access to: - Sauna - Steam Room Although we have plenty of other equipment available to make sure you are able to reach your goal.
  • What should I bring/wear to sessions?
    Make sure you're comfortable whilst you are being put through your paces! Wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and remove all jewellery and watches. It is also recommended to bring a bottle of water and a towel.
  • How many sessions per week do I need?
    Each clients goals and requirements differ, so the number of personal training sessions needed will differ from person to person. On average, I recommend clients to have 2-3 sessions per week to ensure we keep focused and on track. Although there is absolutely no pressure, you can choose to have as many sessions per week as you feel you need.
  • Do you track my progress?
    Absolutely! From your first free goal setting, we continually track your progress using a variety of measurements. Aside from seeing your capabilities improve, we will monitor multiple areas to ensure you are on track and seeing results.
  • What does the free consultation involve?
    The free goal setting is the perfect starting place. It allows us to see where you are in relation to where you want to be. Click here to read more about what the free goal setting entails.
  • Why do people have personal training sessions?
    People have personal training for all kinds of reasons! From training for a specific event to simply providing motivation and direction. Here are a few things that I have trained clients for: Iron Man Distance Running Weight Loss Diet Coaching Muscle Building Pole Fitness Pretty Muddy/Tough Mudder Events Health and Wellbeing I can help you with the following: - Expert advice and guidance - Ensuring you are performing excersises correctly - A specific program designed for you - Keep you motivated - Detailed tracking of your results so you can see changes - Relatable through personal experiences Whatever you're thinking of having PT for, get in touch and we'll discuss how I can aid you in achieving your goals.
  • What happens if I can't make our session?
    I understand that sometimes life gets in the way and a cancellation is necessary. It is greatly appreciated, if you are unable to make a session, if you give a minimum of 24 hours notice. *If less than 24 hours notice is given, you will be charged for x1 session.
  • What happens if Steve can't make our session?
    Under very rare circumstances there may be times when I cannot make our session. I will always endeavour to provide you with at least 24 hours notice, if not more. In the unlikely event that I must cancel with less notice, I will reschedule your session.
  • Do you run classes?
    I run two very popular kettlebell classes: Monday's at 9:30am - FULL Tuesday's at 6:30pm - SLOTS AVAILABLE Price: £6 To learn more about the classes, click here. *Please note: Classes are not included in the price of personal training sessions.
  • Do you sell PT sessions as a gift?
    Yes! Personal training sessions are a great gift and gift vouchers can be personalised to add a more personal touch.
  • How long are sessions valid for?
    Sessions are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
  • Can I give unused sessions to someone else?
    Unfortunately, sessions are non-transferrable.

  • Do we have to train in the gym?
    Not always, we can train outside, although due to time restrictions it wouldn't be productive to spend session time travelling. The location of the gym doesn't really allow for much excercise options outside, although there's plenty of facilities in the gym to cater for your every need!
